Field hockey drops CSAC opener at Lancaster Bible
 

LANCASTER, Pa. – Lexie Dubois scored for the second straight game for the Bryn Athyn College field hockey team during a 5-1 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opening loss to Lancaster Bible Thursday afternoon.

Dubois scored her team-leading third goal of the season 3:34 into the third quarter to get the Lions on the board and cut their deficit to 3-1. Chantal Farmer started the play by stealing the ball from a Charger defender and sprinted down the left wing. She found Dubois down along the goal line and Dubois tacked the ball into the open cage.

Macy Balmer allowed Lancaster Bible (2-7, 1-1 CSAC) to regain its three-goal lead with an unassisted goal at the 41:44 mark. Brooke Sareyka scored the Chargers' fifth goal with 4:15 left after getting a pass from Nina Statuti.

Statuti opened the scored 12 minutes into the contest by tipping in a Balmer pass. Blessing Bowman extended the lead to 3-0 with back-to-back goals coming on penalty corners.

Alisha Parnell made her second consecutive start in goal and made four saves. Chloe Campbell stopped two shots to get the win for Lancaster Bible.

Bryn Athyn (1-6, 0-1 CSAC) returns to General Ronald K. Nelson Field to host Wilson in a CSAC contest on Monday, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m.
