BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey team was defeated by Sage in a non-conference match, 5-0, Sunday afternoon on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.

Sage (7-7) took just 1:21 to get on the board as Micalli Johnston scored with a shot from the right wing. In the second quarter, Charity Rushinski doubled the Gator advantage after one-timing home a Johnston centering pass with 5:45 left in the half.

Rushinski notched her second goal of the afternoon, with another assist from Johnston, at the 43:24 mark of the contest. Hayley Mato and Mia Unverzagt got into the goal column in the fourth quarter.

Bryn Athyn goalkeeper Kailey Brower racked up 12 saves. Brittany Gunther added a defensive save, her sixth of the year.

Bryn Athyn (1-9) travels to Baltimore to take on Notre Dame (Md.) in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
