Cogmon records double-double in loss to Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Clayshonia Cogmon recorded a double-double for the second straight game with a career-high 19 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team in a 73-40 loss to Lebanon Valley College in the opening round of the Rinso Marquette Tournament Saturday afternoon in Sorrentino Gymnasium.

Cogmon shot 6-of-19 from the field and 7-of-12 from the free throw line as she bested her previous career high of 17 points, which she accomplished twice during the 2017-18 season. She also set a career high with seven steals.

Allie Warren added 10 points, all coming in the second half, and six rebounds for the Lions (0-2).

Lebanon Valley (1-3) had three players score in double figures, led by a 15-point effort from Anne Lehr. Tamara Hanson and Jen Eck came off the bench to add 11 and 10 points, respectively. Emily Mealey recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Dutchmen shot 40.9 percent (27-of-66) from the field, while the Lions shot 25.0 percent (13-of-52).

Bryn Athyn will face Juniata in the consolation game of the Rinso Marquette Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 18 at noon in Sorrentino Gymnasium.
